ROBERT W. WEAVER: A Legal Compilation

In 2017, the author submitted an important request to the BLM under the Freedom of Information Act. As of November 13, 2018 the BLM had still failed to comply with federal law, refusing to produce any of the sensitive documents requested pertaining to the death of Robert Weaver. Federal law states that the government has 60 days to provide the information after a FOIA is requested. This is yet again, one of the many instances in which the Bureau of Land Management uses bureaucracy and secrecy to hide their malicious, self-serving actions from WE THE PEOPLE. Because of the government’s failure to comply, Chris Kortlander has taken the bold, but necessary action of filing this complaint in Federal Court.
